i intend to import AMCREST 960H VIDEO SECURITY SYSTEM through alibaba or amazon how much duty will i pay, if alot how can i evade if possible this useless tax.

all comes down to the courier you will use, if its the dhl's. ems ... then be sure the person at customs will define how much tax you pay, if using the other couriers especially the ones who bring in bulk, they will only charge you a fixed rate.

Just a note, the more 'luxurious' your item looks the more tax you will pay.

Depends on the courier you use. DHL will be fast with delivery but arrival of the customs bill is always an event.

Case in point, I order electronics worth 18k, tax is 11k. The funny part is this mysterious G.O.K fee that is 5000 bob, with no explanations. Brick wall Bringing in stuff through post is a bit better on the customs part as you can declare lower during inspection, as you are there. DHL do valuations on their own, you can't be there to under-declare or tetea for yourself.


Or better yet, import through Salihiya or C.W Sourcing Dancing. As fast as DHL minus the KRA nonsense.

Let us purchase from amazon.com and use Salihiya. Shipping cost is 10/kg min 25kg. we split based on weight. I'm getting 1 unit of cctv + rc toy cars

yes @ 19lbs/8.6kg it will cost you $86/unit, $860 for ten. You purchase from amazon and use their address for delivery.

How do you pay for purchases at amazon?I have seen on their website that a visa debit card can be used.Not sure is I can use my kawaida visa branded Barclays ATM / debit card though..

I believe debit card will work, I use visa credit card

Debit cardshould work , but check with your bank as some require authorization for using the card online.
