Open Skies. Coming soon. I hope.

http://www.businessdaily.../-/b0ji4vz/-/index.html

It's ridiculous how much we pay to Entebbe. We need open skies to encourage more movement of people within EAC.

And Emirates has added seats to Nairobi. Flying only 777s on this route while KQ sold/leased their 777s.

"The Dubai-Nairobi route is doing very well for us and we believe the extra capacity meets a growing demand for our services to and from Kenya."

Compare KQ vs Emirates

Is the current turmoil in the global currency markets a deep concern to Emirates?

"As a global business, we are not immune to currency fluctuations. In our last fiscal year, our bottom line was impacted by currency fluctuations which limited the profitability boost from lower oil prices. However, we still managed to post our best financial results to date, which is testimony to the strength of our brands and business fundamentals, as well as the dedication of our workforce."

On November 12 at the KQ pride centre expect an announcement of KES 7.4B loss before tax.. Anything higher and doomsday would have reached. Anything lower and the anticipated turnaround would be in live effect

I dont think KQ has been able to get buyers for the five 767s that were supposed to have been sold to pave way for the Dreamliners....As Nguze had said in the AGM KQ is making money but I believe project "mawingu" was executed very poorly and the fleet renewal program has been very costly for the company.

KQ has no 767s in its fleet.. https://www.kenya-airway...e_We_Fly/Fleet/KQ_Fleet/

KQ has 767s in their books check pg38 of KQ 2015 ANNUAL REPORT.

Naikuni had said the 767s would pave way for the Dreamliners "The B787-8 aircraft will replace the
B767-300s on a one for one basis." Check pg 36 Kq 2014 ANNUAL REPORT

@selah the planes were sold between july and sept 2015 hence must have appeared on the annual report since it was published prior to the fact. In Mbuvi's own words on 09.10.2015 ''KQ has sold all older Boeing 767 and 737, aircraft, but deals to sell the 777-200 fell through twice, and we have since hired an agency to complete this''

If i extrapolate your logic, Are home afrika and mumias a buy because they are below 2 bob? Approach stocks slowly and avoid monkeys like KQ, HAFR and you will survive

i am new to stocks. a university student. i made an impromptu approach to stocks and purchased kq shares at 6.01. am watching my investment lead to huge losses. Someone kindly advice me. Should i sell them at the moment? if yes, which one should i buy with the little cash i get from the sale? Else, should i trust it on KQ?
