If you find yourself in a hole do you-
1. Dig faster; or
2. Stop digging?

It depends on the reason for being in the hole. If its in search for water or gold, u must continue digging with eternal hope! but if u arent sure why u are in the hole, its best to stop digging immediately. averaging down is a strategy I have used in select cases to my benefit but on KQ I have been hesitant to increase personal exposure since the turnaround is promised, but out of sight.. 18months is a fairly long time to wait for a rebound on a firm which has had failing indicators for the last 3 years..

Watermelon. Flip-flop.
Mara it will make us millionaires and you want to be thanked later.
Every 6 months, you say the next 6 months will see a turnaround.
Now you are hesitant to buy more shares. And think the turnaround will take 18 months.

Only a fool doesn't change his mind! I give credit to @Obiero for after being pro KQ for a long period he has realized it isn't going to live to expectations in near future thus the back down.It ain't watermelon as such.

@vvs lost a lot of money in KQ and thus he must be treated in a special manner when discussing this firm. Point here is that I am still in KQ but will not average down, atleast not until release of H1 in a few days time. As for the turnaround, the CEO himself told me it will not take less than 18months, so why should I hold onto my target for 6months. @spikes unanchekesha. KQ has never made a profit exceeding KES 6.9B.. It is unlikely that they will get 25B in 18months seeing as there is determined reduction in total fleet size as part of cost cutting measures

I changed my mind on KQ long time ago during the Rights Issue when the Management & Board stayed clear of buying shares in KQ. I was like you. I refused to listen to the likes of @Horton @Njunge among others even when they presented data & logic. MY EXPENSIVE MISTAKE.
As a public service, I tried and tried and tried to change your mind. Has there been anyone who has spent so much time/effort trying to make you learn/understand from my experiences?
