Since that Odiero arrived,production has risen tenfold. If the trend continues,6 months is all they need to be back to profitability.This makes 1.80 at this point in time,a give away.
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

@Njung'e Impressive on production. How does the current production compare with production peak in better times /earlier years

How is their cashflow and servicing of debts, paying farmers currently?

I am interested in this ten fold especially the figures and the period of this ten fold. Also expound on where the raw material for this ten fold has come from.

In the month of May this year,they made a paltry 1,700T of sugar. The average now per day has hit above 600T with over 75,000 litres of ethanol every 24 hours. I think the Odiero also abolished the distributors system,closed all warehouses outside the factory and all products are sold from inside their premises. On the raw material,it is no secret cane from their fields/contracted farmers was going to other smaller mills in the region. This has been circumvented by increasing the price per ton cane hence no more poaching. More than 90 % of farmers have been paid with plans to pay cane delivered inside two weeks afoot. El-nino forgiving and as i posted earlier, i foresee a fine run into April next year when they are expected to shut down for major works.
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

Your statement read like a financial statement. I wish some one can put this in figures, but for sure this sounds sweet or again. For the stone that the builders reject will become the corner stone.

How long before the hole can be filled?
The emergency debt from GoK is still debt that has to be repaid.
Then there are the loans from KSB.
There are creditors who are in line to be paid or they will not supply goods/services.
KPLC says it is owned a huge sum for supplying power to Mumias as well as 'penalties' for not supplying power per the PPA.
Have the workers been paid?
Have the farmers been paid what they were owed?

BTW, Gareth George, after he started the process of righting KCB was kicked out. Terry Davidson was brought in after GG refused not to go after Moi's guys. A successful turnaround but only after GoK started diluting its stake.

There was Leakey as Head of the Civil Service. Same story.

Brian Presbury left after restructuring KQ from a loss-making moribund airline to a profitable, growing airline. After his contract ended, Naikuni & friends took over. The rest is history.

Odieros are for the short haul. Once they out-grow their britches & look to consolidate their positions/progress, the masters kick them out. You can't have them denying the power-that-be the share of the sweet pie?

Wachana even with dilution, we cant have eveready trading at a higher price than Mumias. Kwani serikali haina aibu?

When I was growing up there used to be this thing called a crochet which was always being left carelessly on seats,and lo unto you if you came jumping carelessly to sit down, you could sometimes feel the thing touch an internal organ.

This KPMG Report is having a similar effect and just keeps popping up and making life quite miserable.
