Am not advocating for war or anything close to that but as i said, i do understand where @kusadikika is coming from because i have also come to that point at one time or another, but leaders like Kagame dont walk up to statehouse wearing long sidelocks holding a bible on one hand and a Crook. We need a true reformer who doesnt need to suck up these goons. it is a risk for whoever has the guts to do that, but we need someone to take that risk. As someone said, its true corruption started from the day kenya was born or earlier and no one could talk of it. now we can talk about it openly and bash the ones doing it, and if you were there in 2002 and felt the hostility kenyan's had to get moi out, then you will admit that its a matter of time till we get near that point....... again.

While the rule of the gun is not the best option, we honestly need more than just another election!

A military junta is rarely a panacea, and it is not our leaders who are the problem. It is we KENYANS, SISI! More specifically, our attitudes!

Because we Kenyans became such a happy lot that we lost our sense of being wronged as Kenyans a long time ago, we lost our sense of being short-changed as Kenyans a long time ago, we lost our sense of being outraged as Kenyans on theft of public funds a long time ago.

Only now are we starting to re-discover anger, to get annoyed, to refuse to go on with a business-as-usual attitude. All along our leaders knew they could plunder, rape and kill with impunity and get away with it. And did all this they they faithfully did. So they killed in '92, '97, 2002, 2007/8 and of course will get away with it. And they stole lots of public cash, never mind the huge anti-corruption juggernaut we have consisting of over 10 major graft-fighting agencies like KACC,EMU,CID,etc.

Our response to all this was, at best muted, at worst conniving and indifferent as we lchose to look the other way. But we should have been outraged and taken to the streets, demanding convictions, making it clear from 1993 that we will not tolerate pogroms. Neither Goldenberg, Anglo-leasing, graves, etc. Our silence gave them consent, the impetus, the confidence to go on to the next cash cow and the next pogrom.

Our meekness, our docility is our Archille's heel. It is what is killing us.

Take petrol for instance, just the other day it was retailing at 65/= per litre rising to 110/= per litre within a very short time and driving up prices of everything. Citizens' response to this exploitation by oil companies: almost NIL
Yet in countries such as India and Nigeria a 2-shilling rise, even when justified, has the potential of bringing down an entire govt.

So then Kusadikika am relieved at your new-found sense of anger and outrage! Am happy you are angry, you feel short-changed, you feel wronged and a deep sense of injusticies committed.

Let us go on bringing out the scandals and if I bring one out plse support me to the hilt and let me not suffer alone as did Gerald Munyankei (Goldenberg whistleblower) as indeed I will not also not let you. And using all forums, lets keep agitating for prosecution/ punishment for all criminal elements, and those harming mother Kenya irrespective of their position in our political hierarchy.

But we are calm, collected and sober people who will not let this anger be channeled wrongly. Its really a battle of the mind, a battle to banish the wrong selfish individualistic mindset.
What we need is an evolution of attitudes in the citizenry's mind, and this will bring a revolution and new paradigm shift in the way we run our country.
