Some University of Nairobi students are paid members of ISIS and al Shabaab, the head of the National Counter Terrorism Center has said.

"We will come for you before you come for us," NCTC Director Isaac Ochieng' told a university audience yesterday.

He said he has"evidence some students are on the payroll" of the two terror groups in Nairobi and elsewhere.
"We have serious evidence some students here in this hall are on the payroll of ISIS in Syria and Iraq," Ochieng said.

Addressing student-terrorists, he asked: "Why do you participate in a war that is not yours? Why do you cross borders to join a terrorist group? Leave that thing alone."

Scholars need to debunk the "poisonous" ideology of terror groups, Ochieng said.

"As academics, you must do your part in fighting radicalisation and violent extremism in our learning institutions," he urged.

I think they should also try to understand that ideology.

Why threaten them? Just catch them instead ... if they are indeed there these idle threats will either make them disappear or act sooner.

We must worry about terror group’s tactics

Fresh reports indicating that high school students are dropping out to join Al-Shabaab and train to wage terror war against innocent civilians makes for chilling reading.

A confidential government report published on Tuesday revealed that students from at least six schools have been enlisted by the terrorists.

200 youth missing after release

Quote:
“Politicians pleaded with the government to free them from prison, promising to guide them on to the right path. But now, it is shocking the youth have vanished. Where are they and what are they doing? Only a few who can be traced,” said Mr Marwa.

Mr Marwa told a security meeting at Mkomani Showground on Monday that he wants parents to come clean on the whereabouts of their missing children. “They had grenades, firearms and Al-Shabaab literature when they were arrested. When they left the prison, we were told they would be rehabilitated. Parents should tell us the truth.”

Meanwhile, Mr Marwa who chairs the county security committee said all schools and colleges have been secured after reports Al Shabaab recruits are out to lure students to join the terror group.

Something does not add up here.Had they been jailed or were they in remand? If they were in remand then only the courts can release them on bond or released after the conclusion of the case when they are acquitted or charges withdrawn;if jailed they can only be released upon the conclusion of the sentences or presidential amnesty. So the question is how were they released????

I hope it is simply a coincidence and it has nothing to do with the missing youth.

And though the majority are from northern Kenya, some are from deep upcountry, in the western counties, illustrating how far the terror group has extended its tentacles.

It seems Al-Seitani has outwitted the govt. For such a network to grow so extensively, it could also be the govt or someone in govt is sponsoring youth radicalisation as part of growing a militia for future use against the population in advancing Illuminatti ideals.
