'Dume' kamili is the entity who personifies the ideals of the species especially with respect to survival. At the moment, technology is requiring less and less of the 'dume' being praised here.
Again, the relationships of the real dume are changing. The woman isn't a commodity, scarcity of resources is becoming less of a factor, for example.
The real dume seems not to have been discovered for our radically changed world.
