Annual teachers strike is big business. For lawyers, union officials et al. The worst part is they don't care about the children. Imagine third term is completely distorted and no signs of letting go.

And why wasn't it possible to hear the case back to back and determine within one week or so.. when smone seeks Adjournment of a case for say 1 week too many does he care a damn what agony the kids are going through all this time and what they have lost for ever. If you lose time you never get it back

It's such a pity that our kids have been dragged in this mess. There is a need to create limits on this Unions otherwise they could lead this country to collapse....next up will be the medics...and our wage bill will be hovering circa 70 per cent.
The motion by Hon. Namwaba on reduction of salaries of seniour civil servants was very timely but he failed in suggesting that the savings raised be used to increase teachers salary. The reduction should just serve to reduce the wage bill and salary disparity in the civil service and not to maintain status quo.

There is precedent. When i sat my KCSE the teachers were on strike. We were supervised by Ministry of Agriculture civil servants. Simply saying...it has been done before. Its not the enviable exam preparation but sometimes you work with the hand dealt you.!
