Despite we Africans embracing these religions,it seems some within them still see us as lesser beings. The prince of Saudi has blamed the 700+ deaths on Natives from Africa........he saw the primitive energy.

I've always found it funny how former colonies are the ones who have clung hardest to the religions of their oppressors. I wonder if there's been any study into this phenomenon.

Maybe the important thing here is to discover how our thinking is driving us into despair, fraudulently. A person's mind can be so misleading ...

Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly In fact its easier for them to just sum you up as an African and not bother with the rest of the details.

Africa should have also exported its traditional religion to the world. Just like arabs exported Islam and europeans exported christianity to the rest of the world. Is someone from the UK or Saudi Arabia more superior spiritually than one from kenya?

Some of the religions/churches we follow have queer beginings. Take the Anglican (Church of England) church for example. King Edward the 8th of England wanted to divorce his wife and marry his mpango about 500yrs ago. Then England was 100pc catholic but the pope refused to dissolve the marriage and the king decided to have his way and broke away from Rome , i.e the Catholic church so that he could marry his gacungwa and kula vitu. And declared himself head of the new church of England. He then took over and sold all the assets of the catholic church in England and cut off all relation with Rome. Why should an individual's earthly carnal cravings determine the spiritual path that you take. 500 yrs later.

made the mistake of not giving my kid a 'christian' or 'english' name. the curious stares and questions we received from friends and relatives always cracked me up. ukipeleka mtoto clinic, the nurses ask when you intend to give the kid 'that other name' hehehe.
All my friends are heathens, take it slow. Wait for them to ask you who you know. Please don't make any sudden moves.
