I repeat, this rights issue will be delayed until the price is favourable.

Apart from the tax credit which is a one off I am really impressed with revenue grwoth as a result of increased installed capacity

Installed capacity up 28%
Units sold up 9%
Electricity revenue up 37%

Remember geothermal is expensive to install but cheap to produce. 9% is just about the same amount that was produced. @hisah, more plants = more tax credits

What's the program duration? Is Geo part of the 2018 project plan? If so, then I will be forced to relook this counter.

From the notes on the financial performance;the company is on gear to implement other Horizon II projects which include 350mw of geothermal projects comprising;
70MW Olkaria I Unit 6
140MW Olkaria V
140MW Olkaria VI
From the news they have been sharing Kengen is short by 8.2bn for funding of Olkaria I unit 6.This money they will get from borrowing and most likely JICA will give them the money.
The ksh.50bn rights issue money will be for implementing 140MW Olkaria V and 140MW Olkaria VI and the remaining balance for the project will be borrowing.
This company is doing an excellent job in the way they plan and manage their finances

Also keep heavy forex loan payments in mind.
Majority govt ownership.
Expected rights issue next year.

There won't be much to celebrate here. Kengen became another KenyaRe when peeps sobered up from their IPO utopia.
