@Ngurumani there was no fish but the fresh water springs was something to die for...

one could tell from faces of those who made it 1/4 way,1/2 way n all the way to the peak that the experience over shadowed the pain.

@Bill
True,my legs are giving me a very hard time,but i would not trade anything for that wonderful experience! i even patted myself on the backsmile And those springs....wow!...they are soo fresh and cool...reminds me of the ones described in the bible'springs of cool,pure endlessly flowing waters'...out of this world is the word for it!

@mwenda pore
By the way,....THANX a million for the support,i would have headed back after that first steep hill were it not for you and that Ole(our guide). but your positive attutude kept me going! i almost cried when the maasai said...'pale ndio mwisho ya mlima'!!

@Marko
The meat was really well done! kwanza the liver and chapatis....i even took them some pics.....and they are exciting my salivary glands....smile

@Guka,Wendz,Wanyuru,willing et al...
Am sure you will want a 'Nguruman 2' after you see the pics...they are amazing! Kesho or wednsday,the pics will find their way to your inboxes.....

i was taken quite by surprise by the sudden change in scenery.one minute we were in a semi-arid environ then there ahead of you,you suddenly see hanging mango trees,huge green banana bunches and green,healthy maize stalks....if you had blindfolded me and dropped me in the middle of it all,i would have probably guessed that i was in Nyeri or somewhere in Kisii.such was the contrast..

Leona, an events this Dec. in your itinerary. Niko Mashinani and our work peaks at this months and would want to scale some good heights (Mt Kenya, or Mt Kilima)before my legs give away.
