Kwanza that SG of KALPA caused major disruptions the other week...Big ego.

Unbelievable short-sightedness on the pilots part. Isn't it easier to certify on another type rather than block critical financing meant to keep the airline afloat? If KQ tanks they will fly broomsticks and eat air ....one of these days someone will get annoyed enough and throw out all these agreements KALPA has with management and then it will be no unions like the rest of the private sector, no cushions, no seniority and pilots can be imported .....(vastly experienced but jobless pilots from Europe complain at KQ being closed to non-Kenyans) ..
then these KALPA guys will know misery ...
It would be sad for Kenyans to lose jobs but these guys have a responsibility to look after their employer too (and not always take the hardline stance).

We honor Mapambano for facilitating the airline to move from local to international. This is ridiculous! d'oh!

This is short sightedness at its peak.

Iberia pilots paycut

Qantas pilots wage freeze

British Airways pilot paycut(2009 in the depths of loss making)

The times have changed in aviation.

Even the pilots of American, United, Delta(I'm not sure) realized that with their hardline stand the companies would collapse. Hawa wetu...

Ngoja KQ collapses, Ethiopian and Emirates will hike fares kama wazimu.

A lot of vol churn in august and september. Watching the 5.00 handle very closely. The rest is noise! Break below will initiate another slide period.
$15/barrel oil... The commodities lehman moment arrives as well as Sovereign debt volcano!

Why is it so hard for KQ to get flight attendants that are easier to the eyes?
They can hire McKinsey or whoever, sell aircrafts, but am not flying them until the get the attendants right.

Will KQ make a profit in H1 2015/2016? Thats the big question..... i highly doubt.
Look at uchumi DOING something about it, KQ yet to even start
The investor's chief problem - and even his worst enemy - is likely to be himself

This isn't a stock to touch even as MaichBlack says with a 20 ft pole. There is no clear startegy. Overcharging customers , bad customer services , delayed flights, self centred pilots and many others .Should wait till Mckeinsey devise a startegy for them .Hopefully it will turn around instantly like coop bank did

all the bad things mentioned are as a result of staff sabotage i.e bad service, delayed flights, arrogant pilots etc. At KQ its staff that are the main problem, management which caused larger strategy issues has now been replaced. This thing shall turn a profit by H1 2015
