Dear Wazuans, First of all thank you all for the advise you'll gave me in my first apartment purchase earlier. Special thanks to Vj, a4architect.com, Gordon Gekko, Horton and others who I may not recall their usernames here.
I am on my way to buy another apartment in Kilimani area, off Lenana Road for my new born son and could use your recommendations and long term advise and looking forward to your constructive feed backs as always.
I am buying 2 bedroom apartment off Lenana Road. 120 sq metres. Luxurious master bedroom en-suite, facilities include: bath tub/Jacuzzi, the guest washroom fitted with shower cubicle. Serene view from the front balcony and a Kitchen with a balcony also. Kitchen is fully equipped with state -of-the-art integrated appliances. Other amenities in the apartment complex are swimming pool, private Residence Club (Gym, Cafe, Library, Changing Room), Intelligent High Speed Lifts, Surveillance Security System, Bore Hole, Two Back -up Generators, Access Control System.
This is not a property I intend to flip and intend to live there and put it under my son's name in the future. Its newly built complex and the developers are asking it for 15.5m ono. I am certain I can easily get it for 15m.
Is this a decent price as I as it will be my home for a long term and hopefully a decent place to raise a family and grow my alpha along the way.
As always your constructive feedback are well appreciated, God Bless and Asanteni folks.

You sound like you are selling rather than buying this apartment. With 15 million, targeting a longterm place to live, I would rather buy a suburban three bedroom house. Life is short. Live passionately.

Even me I am asking the same question.
Any way for that he has mentioned a price of 15M looks low.
In addition with 15M and investing for your kid you probably need to choose a different strategy.

What if the son will no be selling off the property in future? So many ifs.He should also not assume that the son will live in Nairobi as the son may decide to be a farmer in Kitale, a doctor in UK or a County Official in Elgeyo Marakwet!!!!!!!!!1

Don't quite know what advise you're looking for since you've already decided to buy. Value is in the eyes of the beholder.
My only comment is that with all those amenities 'swimming pool, private Residence Club (Gym, Cafe, Library, Changing Room), Intelligent High Speed Lifts, Surveillance Security System, Bore Hole, Two Back-up Generators, Access Control System.' you are looking at a monthly service charge of @20k, before you factor in insurance, maitenance and wear&tear, you can take off nearly 25k from anticipated monthly rent.
