The government should just pay the teachers and stop wasting our money in losing appeal battles.

We have more than enough to pay teachers. We are told that more than 270billion go to greedy individual pockets annually including suppliers of holes in government office doughnuts . Let's give a little something to teachers.

The additional tax bs doesn't add up. What are we doing with what we are getting? Has anyone be jailed for stealing from the coffers?

As far as current the current Teacher’s 'Annual Strike' is concerned, and as much as teachers deserve pay that is commensurate with their work, the current situation raises the following questions:
.The children who are out of school, what wrong have they done? They have a right to be in school, and mis-understanding between Knut and TSC should not give rise to such a situation. Knut should just seek prosecution of those disobeying court orders, but teachers should be in school.
.The court upheld ruling to increase teachers pay. Was this salary increase sanctioned by SRC? If not then the court order is null and void just as mo1 and Bak Perks have been annulled by the same courts, for the same reason..
.Even if the govt had earlier on accepted to pay (erroneously, without input of SRC), and now they are saying they don’t have the money, why would you keep insisting that you have to be paid?
.Teachers, did not follow laid down procedure to call a strike..To argue that the current strike is a continuation of the process that has been going on is not correct. From where I sit, the previous strikes were called off so this is a fresh strike. I think Knut is operating with impunity..
From where I sit, this is a matter that should be adjudicated between TSC, Knut, Judiciary and SRC. Kids have no role whatsoever. It is immoral for adults to fight and use children as a shield. Dear teachers, please leave the kids out of this (how I wish PORK addressed himself to this rather)
In the meantime, someone please change the topic to read Teacher’s Annual Strike.. this thing has turned to be an annual ritual by the teachers so we expect the same next year and every year…

Life is like playing a violin solo in public and learning the instrument as one goes on.

Knut should call off this strike at the earliest..and leave the courts, tsc and src to sort out the mess. Otherwise they will be embarrassed very soon if and when courts sides with govt and they then have to call off the strike. We are sick and tired of these annual strikes
