@Bigchick, please attend and report here.

and yes she did but is having technical difficulties in posting. See below the update. Photos to follow:

I attended the event.

Highlights.

It was well attended by the new landlords who seemed genuinely excited.

Project not ready for occupation as some things are pending.Eg Water (a borehole is underway)Sewage system and a biodigester is in the works.

All who have paid up received their Certificates of Ownership awaiting the Sectional Titles when all have paid up.

Title moved from Urithi to a Management Company of Units that was formed.

UNITAS were in the house and announced they have partnered with Urithi to finance those who want to buy anything from Urithi. (They announced they are converting to a bank next year 2016).

Urithi have 60 projects across the country that should be complete by Dec 2015. (Too ambitious). They have also started Urithi Premier Sacco that will take over from UNITAS when its coverts to a bank.

Lunch was served and it was good with branded water.smile

Key personaliities present
Official from Min of Cooperatives,Unitas Snr official,Entire crew involved in the construction . Chairman of the Juja Neighbourhood Association.

My assessment.

Project is good but has taken too long so murmurs of discontent may have pushed them to handover the same when not 100 % complete.

NB Some of the Directors were missing...eg Pastor.Red flag to me on internal wrangling. May not affect this project but the future of the co-op.

Ni hayo tuu.
Bill nitume wapi?smile smile

What shall be the connection between Unaitas and Urithi Premier Sacco once Unaitas convert into a bank? I don't get it.
And where are Unaitas currently in terms of number of shares for them to forecast that by next year they shall be ready for the conversion?

There is no connection.
All they were trying to say is that when UNITAS converts to a bank, then there shall be a vacuum on the SACCO sector which Urithi Premier Sacco will fill.
