IMF investment arm wants a seat at the table.

Expect pressures to completely privatize KQ to increase, if IMF has its way..

Yes. The aircraft have to be externally financed as we don't have capital markets deep enough here to acquire such equipment without straining the system..(I mean, credit financing Scom's IPO highlighted that well.) Consumer culture!

@Cde..You might be right. That article sounded like a deflection from the fact that exim bank has been eliminated by USAian politicians, given that KQ has found a Chinese funder.

This narrative of a failed third world airline and the IMF desire for a seat at KQ's table is beginning to sound like a plan to privatize KQ.

We shall see...

If IFC hadn't come up with the cash, the Rights Issue (70% subscription) might not have succeeded. The Board & Management - with insignificant skin in the game - convinced IFC to invest in KQ. I wonder if anyone's head at IFC rolled for this.

I have booked a date with Seabury, McKinsey, the CEO and board of KQ on 25.09.15 where we shall discuss the turnaround plan. This will aid in solidifyin the H1 profit set to be announced on 12.11.2015 at the Intercon. If not invested in this stock, the time is now. Thank me later

Vol spike in August was around 32M shares. It's September and today we have a vol spike of 16.3M shares intraday.

It's getting interesting here.
