Competition coming from Mauritian producers/firms buying Kenyan firms. KISCOL is 25% owned by Omnicane. They have invested 18bn & plan to crush 3,000 tons daily. TransMara bought by SML. Plans to increase the crushing capacity to 1mn tons. http://www.businessdaily...20/-/sf05ck/-/index.htmlGreedy when others are fearful. At least some relatively good news, after all the political prophets of doom and their theatrics. With the GOK on the side of MSC, the county is on the side of MSC, the political class is on the side of MSC, the farmers are on the side of MSC and MSC is on the side of MSC , it is difficult to see any doom.

Odinga sues Duale for linking him to Mumias Sugar collapse“The Plaintiff avers that the defamatory and malicious words uttered have grievously injured his character both personally and as a very prominent politician and leader in Kenya and in the world and as such he had been exposed to public scandal, odium and ridicule and embarrassment.” “He has been lowered in the estimation of right thinking persons and continues to be injured in the course of his private and public life.” http://citizentv.co.ke/n...-mumias-sugar-collapse/

Illegal sugar, not the imports, is the greatest threat to the local industry Mr Weda is the Sony Sugar Board chairmanhttp://www.nation.co.ke/...16/-/nfwpnu/-/index.html“You can get in way more trouble with a good idea than a bad idea, because you forget that the good idea has limits.” - Ben Graham

Mumias will be back in profitability in two years time or less. As Kenyans must we wait for the white man and Chinese to revive our dead industries? Wealth is built through a relatively simple equation Wealth=Income + Investments - Lifestyle

Now that we agree that MSC is a good share lets continue with the discussion that is developing in support of this counter.
It has been a while before people could say that they have bought shares in this counter. Now things are changing and investors are starting to come out in support of this share.
