@gathinga,
Mwafrika???..The only entrepreneurs we have in Africa are thieves in high places......Sadly,even when left with vaults open for years on end,they still can't steal any amount close to Helu's worth.

Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

i thought our very own MO1 was one of the richest in the continent. and what about the abacha family. if they could afford to "refund" US$ 1 billion to the broda's government how much more are they hiding somewhere.

FYI egyptians are not "AFRICANS" and neither are those 2 south africans.

Now Wazuans were agog when Carlos Slim from a developing third world country became richest honcho.

But not to worry, several Kenyans are 'living larger' than this guy. What with his starkly frugal lifestyle. 'He has lived in the same house for about 40 years and drives an aging Mercedes Benz'.

PS:
@bkismat not a fair comment. Perhaps you mean not dark skinned; black is not synoynmous with African.

Aii..they should show the top 11 so that my name then appears, this habit of stopping at 10 really is discriminative...terrible fellows mashindwe!!

Seriously though, all those thieving leaders from the Marcos of Philippines thoooose days to the Abachas to the em-o-one family/ cronies to the Omar Bongos and even bro. Paul have still never made it to Forbes 500, much less Top 10?!
I feel relieved, and my faith is restored that hard and smart work can indeed pay!
