It all depends on how Asia trades. Fundamentally the US mkt is very strong.

I think the US economy is very sickly and has been on the ropes since 2007 or probably even earlier than that.

On that.....I disagree.

Noted. I just hope you are not relying on the numbers that are being churned out by the authorities to inform your opinion because those guys never fess up even when they are dead wrong.

We shall soon find out the truth most likely before the end of the year.
The main purpose of the stock market is to make fools of as many people as possible.

4317 level? What 4317 level?

4,242.73 boys and girls, 4,242.73.

Looks like @mnandii had predicted sub 4000 correctly http://www.wazua.co.ke/f...mp;m=677095#post677095. Things look bad in the global markets, the rate hike has not halted Kes slide, oil is approaching recent lows and that is even before the supply from Iran hits. @hisah what do you make of this cocktail?

With all that volume churning when the rebound from 4317 ensued things will definitely get ugly! Sit tight! 4000 handle will breakdown!

The main reason for stating NSE will get ugly is due to mpesa bank and the other top 5 heavyweights sliding with no support! Of concern is mpesa bank falling heavily yet it's trading cum dividend. So when it goes exdiv next Thursday there will be no cushion on the downside! 11.50 is critical. Break below opens up 9 handle!

How to tell ugliness is dead on. When simba's price slips below NIC's stock price d'oh!

This is going to be hard to watch when 4000 handle is broken down. Crazy discounts (fat tails) will be on offer across board!

I hope those learning lessons won't repeat the class when the next bear cycle happens in a few years when the bull cycle will be raging hard.

The next bull cycle will be furious after those fat tails are mopped up.

It's amazing just how correct you guys have been. I've kept off the market because you said there would be a rebound and then the market would slip further back and it appears it has come true. Applause Applause Applause Applause

Now that the bear has come faster than expected, does it also mean that the discounts period won't last for long??

let's get something straight: America's stock market is pretty far from the "dead bull" level. Stocks would need to plunge 20% from their peak levels and stay down that much for awhile in order to be considered a true bear market. We aren't there yet. We aren't even close.
