A guy in this business once told me a real life story that shook me to the core. A guy had inherited land worth 200million....and was selling it...the brokers had inflated the price to 500million. There was a chain of brokers between buyer and seller, each supposed to pocket several million of the 300 million if the deal went through. The broker with direct contact with the client had his a** on the line...with death threats if the deal did not go through. He couldn't even sleep in his own house. Luckily for him, the deal went through, he pocketed 66million and everyone had their payday. If that is not worse than drug dealing, I dont know what is.

Being a Director in some of these land buying companies is worse than working in mandera!!!

This is way dangerous than drug and human trafficking going by the lifespan of some of these directors. And considering its a legit occupation, it only makes the picture more grim.

i have been asking myself this for a long time now as they go down one by one, why would somebody vie for directorship of this company with all what is happening or even allow to be appointed? its like signing a death certificate

They say it's better to die on your feet than on your knees subdued by your enemy. This one have overtaken Mboi-Kamiti which cleared all directors until there was no one left to kill, and the wrangles stopped

Do we have a government in this country ladies and gentlemen???

You want to tell me our security forces cannot investigate such a case? Resources should have been directed towards this case. We have cold blooded killers, financiers, sympathisers, accomplices etc. walking our land and no heads are turning? I have seen 200 policemen mobilized in the UK to look for ONE missing girl. Everyone is roped in from the neighbours, media etc. In Kenya, one, two, three,.... eight directors of the SAME company are systematically eliminated and the security forces have made no headway, no arrests, no idea!!??

What the hell???

I have been asking myself this for a long time; Why should any tax paying Kenyan be afraid of being elected/appointed a director of a legally constituted entity in his/her own country for fear of being murdered. A country with a government and where almost half you income goes to the government through direct and indirect taxes. Why would this go to the level that to Kenyans it is just another story. Even in news media, it is just reported and on to the next story. No analysis, no interviews, no holding of anyone to account etc.

What will it take to get Kenyans Really Pissed Off to DEMAND for action, answers and accountability.

Well said, this is commonplace in Central, yet its where people love the courts so much. Blame the entire criminal justice system. The courts take forever to conclude cases, and those in power "directors" use it to stifle justice. So taking the law into their own hands remains the only effective way out for those who feel frustrated.

We as Kenyan's (and I include myself) cannot be helped. I bet the elections for Directors are steeped in factions, just as national politics are all about tribe. Otherwise how do Sonko, Kafoko, YT2, Babu Owino and other strange fellows get elected? Kenyan elections are never about issues, but about greed and eating. Same thing can be said of those bumping off Directors of the firm.

@Othelo - I am saying that once someone is killed, an investigation should be opened immediately, arrests made and people arraigned in court even with no complainant. Simple!!!

Heck - I have seen people in the west accused of and found guilty of murder in cases where there was no body!!! Imagine that!!! No physical evidence - body, blood etc. And you are found guilty.

Police should investigate, arrest and prosecute the people who kidnapped, pulled the trigger etc. That is phase I. Phase II, get the financiers/paymasters, sympathisers, the fellows who sold/let out the guns to the hit men etc.

Phase I and Phase II can be done concurrently or independently and NONE of them requires a complainant.
