It is a pity that BOC's advisers screwed them up by misadvising BOC on the 80% requirement.

Carbacid profits continue climbing in the past 2 years while BOC's profit growth remained stagnant.

Carbacid's EPS (after adjusting for the 2:1 bonus) is up 50% to 4.58 for the 1H 2010-11. If Kenya's (+ regional) economy continues growing then the full year EPS could exceed 10/- which is equivalent to 30/- prior to the bonus!

I hope Carbacid does well. I have invested a sizeable chunk in it.

Well, you should have no complaints at the moment... There are no sellers only buyers for the shares!

Was the price of BOC pushed up by the prospect of the aborted carbacid acquisition? The prospects of BOC do not look bright.

BOC is more diversified thus was affected by the entire economic downturn. An economic recovery (esp industrial) should boost BOC.

Another huge gain for BOC will come with the building of the pipeline + other infrastructure requiring metal...

BOC has many advantages. Quality being one of them. For some uses esp medical... the quality of o2 cant be compromised...

Waiting for 10/12/2013(crediting of bonus shares) for start of any semblance of stability! Are the splits trading? Is it true that for every share before split & bonus will eventually amount to 6?

the nutness of CARB is nt stopping as the actual value of the stock is abt 140 based on its ROE n MARR OF 20%. So wait for it at 130-135 in the next few week before any decline. its highly discounted due to the emotions of the announcement n shooting to 260 from 45 in a day. highly recommended for a heavy buy even at 100kshs mark
Monopoly was the industrial age money game and the name of the new game of money today in the information age is CASHFLOW
