Waaaa, kumbe baba's rural home in Bondo is grabbed land? He should return it to it's rightful owners....

C&P

Lawyer Onyango Oloo has exposed the history of Opoda Farm. If you don't know, Opoda Farm has been made popular because that's where Raila Odinga built his home-- his home is shamelessly known as Opoda Farm.

Do you know the history of Opoda land in Bondo?

How did the Odingas acquire that piece of Opoda land?

HiStory
Back in the day (1960s) when hot smoke was being spread that Vice President Jaramogi Oginga Odinga would one day become the President of Kenya, he (Jaramogi) allegedly needed land to build an airstrip in Bondo. This was at the highest height of Odingaism.

Jaramogi identified and then used his immense powers to grab a piece of land in Bondo that he "earmarked" for building an airstrip. The land is in Opoda. To acquire Opoda land, Jaramogi displaced a whole village from Opoda. Most Kenyans now know this piece of land as Raila's home called Opoda Farm. Nobody but Raila's family and their workers occupy that massive piece of land that once-upon-a-time used to be a village full of villagers!

"If we would go to the TRUTH, I know of a whole village which was taken by a very prominent Kenyan in the guise that he was going to be President of Kenya so he needed an airstrip. He DID NOT BECOME PRESIDENT, THE AIRSTRIP WAS NOT CREATED,THE SON HAS NEVER RETURNED THAT LAND."- Onyango Oloo, KTN Interview Feb 4, 2013.

"The Opoda Farm where the Prime Minister comes from (where he built his home) was taken from the villagers in the guise that the Vice President then, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, was going to be President and he needed an airport if not an airstrip. TO DATE THAT LAND HAS NEVER BEEN RETURNED, HE NEVER BECAME PRESIDENT....." Onyango Oloo, KTN Interview Feb 4, 2013.

@jaggernaut let me bring you back from your dream of double-standards. Kindly let us know about the land issues around 60s and 70s. Tell us about ONE FAMOUS PREZO who endangered his tribesmen by settling the elitist in Central Kenya, and shipped out “the poor dirt” to be dumped to other provinces.

How did the "villagers" end up in Subukia, Naivasha, Mombasa Mpeketoni/Lamu etc?

Can we stick to the topic at hand which is Opoda farm. After we exhaustively discuss the issue, then we can move 500km east to gatondo.

@masukuma, don't you think there are many others who exist too because of the Bondo move? Or what is the hollabaloo in that case?

By the way, what is the size of this Oponda farm compared to Gatundu, Thika, Kasarani Mwiki, Muthaita Farm, Taveta, Taita, Kahawa Sukari along Thika Superhighway, ranch in Naivasha, Nakuru, Rumuruti, Endebes in the Rift Valley etc
