That house has a very interesting history. The current Aga Khan actually spent some of his childhood years in that house that is why he has such an attachment to Kenya. The true story is that the house was not actually given to Kenyatta but to Mama Ngina. And to show just what a smart move that was Kenyatta responded in kind by gifting to the Aga Khan a part of Central Park where the current Nairobi Serena is built.

Did you know that the Aga Khan gets all the honours, security, motorcade etc of a visiting head of state when he comes to Kenya?

He gets those honours in all countries. The title His Highness was actually bestowed by the Queen!
