Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly - hii sabasaba iko na mambo.
lakini to be fair to @Alba, assuming one is a child prodigy then it would be possible for the same individual to teach his/her age mates.

Do you have to be a prodigy to teach college classes at age 25?

baba was in '82 coup planning. He has never denied it.

You have told people to read across many sources and not to attempt to revise history. Tell us where mbamba denied his involvement. In Nigerian author Babafemi Adejo's biography of him, direct reference is made of his involvement in the planning not just supporting the plotters in their brief moment of glory

whether he was right or wrong is another issue altogether

When Obama ran for election in 2008, the rabid right wing racists accused him of being a muslim born in Kenya. He never bothered to deny it for years. Why engage the loony racists with their weird conspiracy theories? I do not think RAO should engage this nonsense either.

They held several people in detention, tried to force them to admit involvement in the coup. They refused. Charges were dropped. But they still detained him for 8 years. If people still want to post nonsense they should feel free to do so.

I have to laugh at the idea that he was involved in planning a coup that was so poorly executed. Who in their right mind would think a coup can succeed if it is executed by two junior airforce servicemen who think that taking over broadcasting house and commandeering KBS buses is a coup.

The fact that a coup was going to happen was known by several people starting with Moi. University students and lecturers had even been told in advance and they supported it. If thats what you mean by planning then good. I too would have supported the coup. People are revising history to make Moi look like a saint. he was not a legitimate president either. He had contrevened the constitution by making Kenya a one party state. People felt they had no choice but to stage a coup.

Are you implying had RAO been involved in planning it would have been well done? As in he is a master organizer? Na venye he failed to organize a nice win in the last elections ama its coz he was already old?

On August 1 1982, Kenya took a turn for the worst. Moi used the coup as an excuse to become even more draconian. He tossed many of the Jomo Kenyatta appointees in prison. Akina Hinga and Ben Gethi etc went to Kamiti Maximum. Njonjo was accused of being a traitor, humiliated and fired. Some people ended up being tortured ay Nyati house. Some were never seen again. Some like Koigi ran for dear life. many students like current chief justice Mutunga were arrested and held for months. Some even years.

Moi also used the coup as an excuse to purge UoN of student leaders and lecturers who were considered the firebrands of democracy. Professor Maina Wa Kinyatti was sentenced to 6 years. Otieno Mak Onyango, Mukaru Nganga et al were arrested and lost their jobs.

After the coup was foiled, blood thirsty Kenya Army officers actually went to the Air Force barracks and used machine gun fire to massacre Air Force staff who had surrendered and raised their hands. Some of it was because army types were jealous of the air force. But possibly because they were told to do so.

It is so laughable to see Railaphobes now sanitizing Moi eti because he supposedly forgave Raila for the coup. What forgiveness? Moi's lackeys held dozens of people in detention and was unable to produce a shred of evidence to support a treason charge. Only Adungosi admitted culpability because they tricked him eti he would receive a reduced sentence. He later died due to poor treatment.

All these people like kina Isaac Ruto, Mutunga, etc were beaten and forced to say who was involved. Even with all this torture it emerged that the coup plotters were the air force junior staff and no one else.

One can say that Moi's operatives were actually behind the scenes encouraging the coup plotters and making them think that the coup was going to be successful. They were actually fed a lot of false information. They were even told that the army was supporting their coup.

Considering that Moi knew about the coup plot months in advance, its a joke to hear people saying he forgave anyone. In fact he ruined many peoples loves and ruined the country.

EARLY LIFE

Raila Odinga was born at Maseno Church Missionary Society Hospital, in Maseno, Kisumu District, Nyanza Province on 7 January 1945 to the late Mary Ajuma Odinga and the late Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, the first Vice President of the Republic of Kenya. He went to Kisumu Union Primary School, Maranda Primary and Maranda High School where he stayed until 1962.

He spent the next two years at the Herder Institut, a part of the philological faculty at the University of Leipzig in East Germany. He received a scholarship that in 1965 sent him to the Technical School, Magdeburg (now a part of Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg) in the GDR. In 1970, he graduated with an Msc (Masters of Science) in Mechanical Engineering.

He returned to Kenya in 1970. In 1971 he established the Standard Processing Equipment Construction and Erection Limited (later renamed East African Spectre), a company specialized in the manufacturing of liquid petroleum gas cylinders. In 1974, he was appointed group standards manager of the Kenya Bureau of Standards. In 1978 he was promoted to its Deputy Director, a post he held until his 1982 detention.

Raila Odinga is married to Ida Odinga with whom they have four children; the late Fidel Castro, Rosemary, Raila Junior and Winnie.

Trust me Raila name the 2nd Prime Minister of Kenya, the man who claims to have fought tooth and nail for demoncracy in Kenya... would be there if he lectured at UON ... Trust me, you can take that to your nearest Family bank. And his name is there.. tho for the right reason.. go look for it. Those who were taught by Raila in the 70s....purported Engineers...are in their 50s Engineers retire at 70+..at least those I know. Wake up and smell the coffee, we accepted and moved on. Dont impose a lie we can smell on our noses

If UoN does not have a list of all their lecturers you think they would create one specially for RAO? Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly

Also your mathematics is off. You must have failed KCSE Maths. If a person attended UoN in 1970 then he is likely in his late 60s now. Perhaps even 70s since students were much older then. Most of these are retired especially if they were civil servants. Given Kenya's life expectancy, perhaps half are deceased.

There are numerous websites including the BBC, encyclopaedia Britanica that state that RAO was a lecturer at UoN. I suppose you think all these websites are in some kind of conspiracy to lie on his behalf Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly

BTW, Kiraitu Murungi who has know RAO for over 30 years says in this interview that RAO was a lecturer. Is he lying?

You are a typical example of a person who simply chooses to bury their head in the sand because they cannot stomach the truth. Your posts are an insight into what constitutes irrational Railaphobia. Psychologists would be interested in this thread.

Hio hesabu ya miaka ina dosari.
If guys taught by Baba are in their 70s,how old is Baba?

He must be 100yrs. But seriously isn't it strange there isn't a single soul out of the 40m kenyans that has ever come forward and said he was taught by baba?

Laughing out loudly Maybe he taught them incognito or undercover classes.

When I was in upper primary I heard that @bupamba was a gorilla trained bush fighter, so may be he taught the same skills chini ya maji hapo UoN tunnels below the Waiyaki way!
