There is a Kikuyu saying "Urimu no ta uthungu." Translation, "Foolishness is like being white." You see when the white man came the Kikuyus were very surprised by his strange behavior. He would do strange things like blow his nose and keep the "kimira" (mucus) in his pocket. The only other people who exhibited such endless strange behavior were really dumb people.
