Wait a minute, buying safcom, selling then buying MSC will actually cost you about 7% in brokerage fees eh eh.

Woe unto you if Safcom will be on a downward trend by then.

What would i do? (this does not mean what i will do)Is to Buy, ride out the economy/ stock market recovery, Re-invest the dividend if any, Grin ear to year if they consolidate the shares as promised... and harvest my investment at an appropriate time.

I had got it at 3.45. This month I got out at 5.40 but only on about 39% of my holdings. I will keep the rest until May when I will decide the next move.

In the meantime I used the sale proceeds to increase my position in SCANGRP.
Time is money, so money is time. Money saved is time gained in reverse! Money stores your life’s energy. You expend your energy, get paid money, and store that money for a future purchase made in a currency.

you guys wont believe that very many analysts have put scom at 10bob+ by june this year simply by using profit and revenue growth curves..

i really hope this comes to pass..

Which "analysts" are these?

And what is their rationale, i.e., what "profit and revenue growth" are they looking at?

Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.

The world's smartest analyst says little in public... Warren Buffett keeps his picks close to the vest... He only reports them coz SEC insists...

I like this stock. It reminds me of ebay. Staying ahead of competition. Plan on increasing my holding.

Huh? How is Safaricom similar to E-Bay?

i'm asking because you both seem to own the stock yet you are not much of the optimists on it...

I made a mistake... LOL... I should have bought at 5/- but succumbed to greed/speculation...
Anyway, I will wait till 30 May (or when they announce results)... I hope there is a jump & I can/will bail..
