Help with dodgy lawyer

Wazuarians,

I need some advice. I hired a lawyer to help transfer inherited shares to me. I provided all the documents needed including the original share certificates. I also paid up.

Then the lawyer disappeared. I visited his office and his partner said no record of the file was left behind. Luckily I had copies of everything.

The remaining partner is dodgy, and none of the numbers on the business card work. neither does the given email.

Any suggestions of a way forward?

You are the BEST! I looked both lawyers up and found the original lawyer! The partner remaining at the firm is a sleaze. I might report her for giving out business cards with bogus phone numbers and a bogus email.
