I'd been coning myself big time even before joining wazua, but joining wazua was something of a high point in self deception.

The argument that being part of a network of smart people who are keen to educate and learn would help me make better decisions, see things more clearly, and even derive enjoyment of life is apparently so vain and shallow. . .

Even after losing a fortune he still believes there's a true psychic out there.

The fact that you thought/think wazua is a network of smart people keen to educate others is the biggest con you ever did unto yourself

Coning myself is undoubtedly one of my addictions.

You're welcome. Let me ask; belong to who or what? And why is belonging important?

A good example of self deceiving rhetoric. Cons appear to be so smart!

Yes. I like this 'meaning' especially:

justification to themselves – as a way of dealing with the cognitive dissonance that results from inconsistencies between the way they treat others and what they believe about themselves.

I believe that's how cons start.

Manipulating the minds and hearts of others can offer temporary relief but it's all but meaningless if yours is estranged and unsubmissive.
