You obviously do not follow local football so you havent the slightest clue. No one has said Blatter told Nyamweya to neglect football. However Blatter encourages bad behaviour by :

1. Giving each federation $1.3 million per year and not asking them to account for it.
2. Despite knowing how corrupt and incompetent Nyamweya is , Blatter rewarded him with a position in a FIFA committee where he can rake in more money.
3. Nyamweya got rid of true reformers like Shollei and Blatter agreed
4. In the KPL versus FKF wrangles, Blatter sided with Nyamweya against the advice of the FIFA consultants who supported KPL.

When you look at search behaviours it becomes obvious that Blatter wants to keep people who are loyal to him and will vote for him no matter how incompetent. It also becomes obvious that the $1.3 million he gives to each federation is not meant for development but as a bribe so that Nyamweya and his ilk can vote for him. No wonder Africa votes for Blatter as a bloc.

Europeans do not need his money and thats why he cant bribe them.

While the apologists cry and whine about "poor Africa' Etc, Chuck Blazer reveals how he received bribes for the 1998 World Cup in France too.

The reason why Blatter likes to surround himself with thieves and corrupt individuals is because a clean person could become a whistle blower and expose FIFA corruption to the world. Thats why Nyamweya was rewarded with a position in a FIFA comittee as was Hayatou. And thats why Shollei and Shikanda were ejected from FKF with FIFA approval.

I am not saying Europe is clean. I am saying Blatter is bad for Africa because he encourages incompetents and thieves. In Africa we do not have strong judicial mechanisms to prevent corrupt people from running the sport. If Nyamweya was in a western country, he would have been busted for tax evasion or something. He would rotting in jail now.

Those who say Blatter is good for Africa should tell us ONE good thing he has done for Africa

Septic Bladder has done NOTHING for Africa, Asia & other small countries.He has his puppets running local football - like FKF. They are protected by him ( FIFA ). He does not care what they do with the money FIFA pays these countries.
Why else would these countries vote in bloke for him ?
He sets the example himself. He pays himself an annual salary of US $ 15 million AND an unlimited expense account. He does not know what a commercial airline is. All his travels around the world are on private jets.
And FIFA is supposed to be a non profit organization - with a bank balance of US$ 1 BILLION.
Go figure that out.

That is why he has little support in Europe. Those guys are not easy to corrupt. Can you imagine if a guy like Nyamweya, or the other thugs in Africa & Asia were running football in England, Germany etc.
They would be in jail.

A similar boost for the Russian economy and its image in the world could negate the West’s efforts to isolate Russia in the international community.

While the Americans have their geopolitical games to play, the Europeans are concerned about power. Dependent on South America and Africa for football talent, and, increasingly Asia for TV audiences, the Europeans know they are losing control. “Europe wants to import all the labour from us because that gives them a global TV audience and lots of money. But they do not want to give us World Cups or share any power with us,” says an African delegate who voted for Blatter.

Demonised in Europe and the US, Blatter remains popular outside the West because he took football where no other FIFA boss dared to. “The game is for the poor, not for the elite. And Blatter brought it to them in Africa, in Asia, and that’s why most of Africa and Asia voted for him,” Talal Badr, President of Union of Arab National Olympic Committees, told journalists on Saturday. “We don’t like governments to interfere with sports or federations. We don’t want these governments to control the results or impose on us where the game goes,” Badr added.

Whether or not Blatter is involved in corruption can only be revealed by an honest probe. The FBI investigation may become bigger and indict him later. For the present, however, Blatter remains in command of world football as most countries believe what the ‘West’ is trying to do is rob ‘the Rest’ of the chance to be equal partners in the only truly global game.
