There is nothing admirable about Sepp Blatter. He is the reason African football has stagnated to the point that African teams now show up at the world cup just to make up the numbers. Almost every single Federation chair in Africa is a Blatter stooge who is there just to stuff FIFA money into his bank accounts while national teams languish and players live in squalid conditions. I blame Blatter for all that is wrong in Kenya football. You wonder why kenya football fans are no longer going to the stadia? Its because people are demoralized with the constant mediocrity.

I like this. To the point and very correct.

Most African federations are full of Nyamweya types. Imagine if you had a boss who gives his employees US$ 500,000 every year and they do not have to account for it. Most of such employees would vote for such a boss year in year out.

And Blatter will punish any African federation chief that does not vote for him.

This 100%. Admin - where is the LIKE button

No wonder FIFA could pay $10M to Warner.

Lets see what the FBI will find. One story is that Warner was paid in suitcases full of cash. The SA Sports Minister (who is the butt of many jokes in SA) says it was an unconditional bank transfer, but the letter specifically said PAY WARNER.

Septic Bladder resignation statement:

"I cherish FIFA more than anything and I want to do only what is best for FIFA and for football. I felt compelled to stand for re-election, as I believed that this was the best thing for the organisation."

"While I have a mandate from the membership of FIFA, I do not feel that I have a mandate from the entire world of football – the fans, the players, the clubs, the people who live, breathe and love football as much as we all do at FIFA."

You only just figured that out?

"We need term limits not only for the president but for all members of the Executive Committee."

While I wholeheartedly agree with this, it's funny how he only wants it now that he's out.

Oh please! Speak for yourself. The game has stagnated locally due to FIFA sanctioned corrupt leadership and everytime the state attempts to intervene, Kenya was threatened with a ban yet FIFA would just sit there and prefer the rotten leadership - that also elected them - remain. At whose cost was all this?

ooh please. This african mentality that you have to police people need to end. Did Blatter tell kina Nyamweya to neglect football and the players in their respective countries? How come the local federations in europe and other developed nations run theirs effectively yet they receive the same funds?
