The nearest administration police camp has 5 officers

This is what I was told by a civil servant in Mandera this week: towards dawn on Tuesday last week, there was an incursion of Ethiopian soldiers/police allegedly in pursuit of OLF fighters. They came in and harassed the locals for several hours accusing local residents of harboring OLF and chiefs of giving them relief food, then left after harassing them for several hours.

Kenya's security apparatus (police and KDF) made an appearance long after the Ethiopians had left in their usual cavalier attitude. Kenya Police recorded statements from villagers then left. Later on that evening, KDF came in and instead of patrolling walianza kuchinja mbuzi claiming that the community is spreading propaganda. On Thursday evening, tension was very high as KDF had left and locals claimed to have spotted Ethiopian army crossing the border into Kenya that very day.

On Friday, the young men chased away all the Ethiopian herders along with their animals using canes and nyahunyos. The situation would have been uglier had one of the Kenyan vijana's leaders not intervened to stop the young men from shooting dead th Ethiopians and instead proposed that they be caned.

As of Thursday evening, the Kenya Police's and CID's way of handling it was to claim that this was mere propaganda.

That's all I know as of now.Sad

Just spoke to the fellow a few hours ago. There was a major incursion by Ethiopian troops in Moyale at around 1a.m Saturday morning, complete with grenades and random indiscriminate shooting. They ransacked the Moyale District hospital (so I'm told), shot at the staff quarters and chased away all patients in the hospital's wards.

They are probably after UGUS now that ke has become their hiding ground. You wonder why Ethiopia is never attacked. Their soldiers mean business.

I ask the same question too. We should send some of the cops + Boinett and Nkaissery there for internship.
The same question. How come Tanzanian youths do not join Al kebab? Some of them from the coast are muslims and they might be in the same condition as the Kenyan coast youths jobless. Ama there is more fish in their Indian ocean so they do not have to idle !!

watu wanapigania contraband na makaa

Sad Sad Sad

Quote:

Corridors has been informed that the alleged attack on Yumbis might have not been an al Shabaab related incident, but business rivalry between two groups engaged in smuggling contraband goods on the Kenya-Somalia border. Reports indicate the Administration Police team that was initially attacked was escorting a convoy of contraband goods on trucks when they were ambushed by gunmen hired by a rival group. The APs even abandoned their guns in an armoured vehicle and returned when the attackers left. That is why none of the attackers was arrested or shot - See more at: http://www.the-star.co.k....1DbejG8t.v3hdQVE8.dpuf
