Transcentury lose out on Mui coal mine deal
BY CONSTANT MUNDAChina's HCIG Energy Investments partnering with Kenya's Liketh Investments have been awarded a deal to mine coal in blocks A and B in Mui Basin of Kitui county, the Energy ministry has announced.
The consortium which lost out on the 960. 5 megawatt-coal fired Lamu plant last September beat two others shortlisted on November 26.
