Safaricom needs to maintain the tempo at which the share price is declining

Falling as expected

Notice the upper BB (17.89) is the highest price Safcom traded (17.90).
Current retracement targets the lower BB at 13.35.
Citi folks want it at 12.80 (PE 16)http://www.businessdailyafrica.com/Safaricom-share-priced--above-market-peers--/-/539552/2714526/-/6ekpgaz/-/index.html

One thing that keeps that share price high is the dividend payout ratio

Kindly stop spreading rumours!!!

Citi are targeting 18.30/=. They just noted that the sector p/e average is 16 while Safaricom's is 20.

If they expected 12.80/= they would have issued a sell recommendation in a heart beat!!! That's a whole 20% drop. They have issued a neutral recommendation because as per their analysis the expected rise is marginal.

You are doing a great disservice to some people especially when you accompany rumours with cartoons!!!
Never count on making a good sale. Have the purchase price be so attractive that even a mediocre sale gives good returns.

In a proper bear, 9-10 would be a welcome price to board this east African giant. The PE would also be 10 which is more rational.

I don't follow NSE everyday so I was shocked to see Safaricom today at 16.25,d'oh! whereas I'd left it at almost 18 bob. Is it a good time to add more shares ama bado itashuka? Pray I like this counter esp as longtimer

@Maichblack come here
Should we break the lower bollinger band limit of 14.97, it'will be either downwards from here or an upward move towards 17.45 with bias for the former because it's still not oversold as per RSI levels at 45. should it rise to 50, the latter would be likely

Very limited upside @SPT. The chart is indicating distribution with book closure 5 weeks away on Sept 3rd!

Downside targets are 14 then 12.50.

When mpesa bank erases all its gains for 2015, you can imagine what will happen to NSE20 Pray
