@heri, Is it a concrete/stone tank or the plastic water tank?

Nicholas.....a retired city council water technician. Very knowledgable and thorough with his work. At first I was hesitant to engage him coz of the kanjo tag but after he sorted a guy who had been disappointed by Davis Shariff nikaona ni wasted talent just like our doctors in ill-equipped public hospitals. Always check your overhead water tank. A friend found a drowned dead crow (kigogo) inside

Can also be galvanized steel..

I HV a 6by6by6 feet concret one and my boys get excited when I go down to clean it. they help with d buckets n when am done I bring them down n they start making echo's.

Main challenge with tanks- whatever the type- are lizards and rats, which drown and die there. 99% of water tanks will have these vermines which normall access the tank through either the overflow pipe, unclosed covers or open down pipes.

A sure way to keep the water clean esp for masonry tanks is to have a collection pit before the water flows to the main tank to catch the vermines before they get to the tank-most often they will be dead!
