@all I can understand the doubt about the list i had put together and as someone said sure Henry is def upthere with the best.
However in order to gauge how potent a striker is, football analysts have put different milestones and in this case the most widely used/accepted is the 50 goal mark vis a vis the number of games played, and it is this list i put forward and also used by coaches before they sign a striker/what is interesting to note is that there is a caption that keeps playing weekend in weekend out on supersport about the four that i have mentioned and their exceptional exploits. one lucky season is not enough to gauge a striker as i believe rooney is having. Sure he is a good a striker, exceptional not in my books.
For a team as good as Man U he should be upthere with the best mark you 2 of the top four are former Man U players and also to mention Ole Solksjaer is in the top 10 and he was mostly used as a sub...says a lot about rooneys scoring ability.
If one compares rooney with all the other strikers in world class clubs then you will see my point..Torres,Drogba, Van Persie,Etoo, Pato, Ibrahimovic,Higuain,Klose et al..where does rooney rank in this list??
The greatest danger in times of turbulence is not the turbulence; it is to act with yesterday's logic.
