Or did someone also fool you into thinking that the Messiah is Almighty?

@symbols your Bible scholars already THROWN AWAY that as interpolation.

Which Bible scholars?

Proverbs 30:4 wrote:

Allah hates Jews and Christians for worshiping Yahweh.

@symbols I didn't take you for the emotional type.

Since when does believing in the Messiah make him Almighty?

Muslims believe in the Messiah but he is not and will never be Almighty... The Almighty is ONE!

What do you understand by the word "begotten"??

@symbols the word son in the Bible refers to a unique creation of the Almighty, i.e. the Angels are sons of the Almighty, Adam is a son of the Almighty and the Messiah is a son of the Almighty as shown below. smile

Words mean nothing to Christians, they don't believe anything the Bible says. All is for beautification and rhetoric.

Luke 22:35 And Jesus said to them, "When I sent you out without money belt and bag and sandals, you did not lack anything, did you?" They said, "No, nothing."
Luke 22:36 And He (JESUS) said to them, "But now, whoever has a money belt is to take it along, likewise also a bag, and whoever has NO SWORD is to SELL his COAT (GARMENT) and BUY ONE."

You have just said those things were man made. What is your problem now if they do not believe and obey man made laws?

As @guru told you before:

Quote:
the Christians better start believing in the Torah. Otherwise they should be straight and detest the Old Testament and even rebuke it the same way they do the Qur'an!

Otherwise leave the Qur'an and Islam alone.

I don't care what Guru told me or anyone.

I will not leave the koran and Islam alone.

Endelea...

With much pleasure!

So, back to Qur'an and Allah and Islam my pet topics, is it true that in the Qur'an it is written that Allah saved a boy?

Tell me more about this salvation issue, Alphdoti.

@Muriel, The Almighty saved Abraham's only son at the time Ishmael from death and replaced him with a lamb which was slaughtered in his place.

This was to show how he would send the Messiah (pbuh) to his death but save him at the last minute and replace him with the sacrficial lamb aka Judas Iscariot.

Happy?

Almost happy, sister Guru. Almost.

So:
1. Allah saved Abraham's son (a human) from death.
2. Allah saved Jesus (a human) from death.

Therefore Allah can and does save human beings from death? Are you able to confidently say Allah has saved you or will save you? Are you saved? Guru?

@Muriel I have only one answer for you.. The Almighty does whatever He wills, whenever He wills and however He wills!

I am not disputing that your Allah does whatever he wills, whenever he wills and however he wills.

I am asking if you are saved.

Has your Allah saved you? Or do you expect him to save you, seeing you are a pious Muslim and he saved pious Muslims like the boy and Issa?

Beget - To bring forth.

Isaiah 7:14 - Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.

Isaiah 9:6 - For to us a child is born,to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 43:11 - I, even I, am the Yahweh; and beside me there is no saviour.I have revealed and saved and proclaimed—I, and not some foreign god among you.You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “that I am God.Yes, and from ancient days I am he.No one can deliver out of my hand. When I act, who can reverse it?”

John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:14 - The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 1:15 - John testified concerning him. He cried out, saying, “This is the one I spoke about when I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’”

1 John 4:9-10 - This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

Yes that is why all Christians/Jews all around the world who speak Arabic refer to God as 'Allah'

Allah=Elohim=Yahweh=Jehovah

Allah=Moon God=God of Pagans=God of Polytheists.

Arabic speaking pagans and polytheists refer to their God(s) as 'Allah'.

Thank you @Guru. Since Elohim, in it's original Hebrew form, means "THOSE who came from the Sky", perhaps you could shed some light on how the plural morphed into the Singular Allah?

True. Even Muslim scholars like Dr. Ahmed Deedat agree Elohim means Gods.
Quote:
The word Elohim is the plural of El (or possibly of Eloah) and is the first name for God given in the Tanakh: “In the beginning, God (Elohim) created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1)

According to the Quran:

1.Jesus is a man created to be a prophet of Allah.
2.He was the nephew of Aaron because Mary was his sister.
3.He is not the son of Allah and it's an unforgivable sin to believe that he is.
4.He didn't die on the cross for our sins and the resurrection never happened.
5.He doesn't offer salvation from sin.
6.He called people to worship Allah not Yahweh.

The purpose and nature of Jesus Christ as per the Bible,is explicitly rejected in the Quran.

In Islam, the words of God and prophet have been separated. There are two authentic sources of Islam are the Quran, which is 100% the Word of God and the authentic Hadith, which is the words, saying and tradition of the prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

So the Quran will never contradict itself. Nor will authentic hadith contradict itself. Neither will these two authentic sources contradict each other.

In the contrary, the Bible is a mixture of all... the words of God, of the prophets, and of historians.

@symbols, Salvation will come later, not now.

Quran 2:21 "O mankind! worship your Lord, Who hath created you and those before you, so that ye may ward off (evil)"

So how will you get saved? By doing good
Quran 2:25 "And give glad tidings (O Muhammad) unto those who believe and do good works; that theirs are Gardens underneath which rivers flow;"

Check what Jesus says:
Matt 19:23 "And Jesus said to His disciples, “Truly I say to you, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.
Matt 19:25 the disciples were very astonished and said, "Then who can be saved?"
Matt 19:26 And looking at them Jesus said to them, "WITH PEOPLE this is IMPOSSIBLE, but with God all things are possible."

Your thinking is why the Jews thought the Almighty would never break the covenant with them despite how much they sinned and disobeyed messengers!

It was the Almighty's will for Abraham to kill his son but this changed... It was the Almighty's will for Jesus to be killed by the Jews but this also changed.

Who am I to know what the Almighty's will is if these messengers had no clue?

According to the Quran:

1.Jesus is a man created to be a prophet of Allah.
John 6:14 wrote:
When the people saw him do this miraculous sign, they exclaimed, "Surely, he is the Prophet we have been expecting!"

2.He was the nephew of Aaron because Mary was his sister. - Mary was a descendant of Aaron. Please use understanding

3.He is not the son of Allah and it's an unforgivable sin to believe that he is.
Matthew 26:63-64 wrote:
The high priest said to him, “I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Son of God.”
It is you that says so,” Jesus replied. “But I say to all of you: From now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.

4.He didn't die on the cross for our sins and the resurrection never happened.
Hebrews 5:7 wrote:
While Jesus was here on earth, he offered prayers and pleadings, with a loud cry and tears, to the one who could rescue him from death. And God heard his prayers because of his deep reverence for the Almighty

I am not disputing that your Allah does whatever he wills, whenever he wills and however he wills.

I am asking if you are saved.

Has your Allah saved you? Or do you expect him to save you, seeing you are a pious Muslim and he saved pious Muslims like the boy and Issa?

And I repeat, the Almighty will do with me whatever He wills, whenever He wills and however He wills...

So you are unwilling to commit yourself to a definitive answer.

Is Allah arbitrary? Like he just decides you are either good or you are bad so you cannot really be sure? Is that his character? He changes?

Why are you not sure he will save you when there is clear evidence he saves? Are you suspicious of him?

So do you believe that Allah offers salvation?

Your thinking is why the Jews thought the Almighty would never break the covenant with them despite how much they sinned and disobeyed messengers!

It was the Almighty's will for Abraham to kill his son but this changed... It was the Almighty's will for Jesus to be killed by the Jews but this also changed.

Who am I to know what the Almighty's will is if these messengers had no clue?

Allow me to rephrase my question.

Allah says that he saved a boy. Do you believe him?

According to the Quran:
1.Jesus is a man created to be a prophet of Allah.

John 6:14 wrote:
When the people saw him do this miraculous sign, they exclaimed, "Surely, he is the Prophet we have been expecting!"

Matthew 16:16-17 - Simon Peter answered, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God." Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.

2.He was the nephew of Aaron because Mary was his sister.

- Mary was a descendant of Aaron. Please use understanding

Quran 19:27-28 - Then she brought him to her people, carrying him. They said, "O Mary, you have certainly done a thing unprecedented.O sister of Aaron, your father was not a man of evil, nor was your mother unchaste."

Matthew 16:16-17

4.He didn't die on the cross for our sins and the resurrection never happened.

Hebrews 5:7 wrote:
While Jesus was here on earth, he offered prayers and pleadings, with a loud cry and tears, to the one who could rescue him from death. And God heard his prayers because of his deep reverence for the Almighty

Allah deceived people that Jesus was crucified.

Quran 4:157 - And [for] their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah ." And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain.

5.He doesn't offer salvation from sin.

The Muslim Messiah doesn't offer salvation from sin.Quote the Quran or Hadith.

6.He called people to worship Allah not Yahweh.

Allah is not Yahweh and the Muslim Messiah called people to worship Allah.
