I see blood on the streets for this company very soon

Express Kenya largely benefited from EABL tenders to transport beer to Rwanda and Congo etc. The contract worth over 2 billion has now been terminated and awarded fully to DHL (is Kirubi in this one?).

Actually, EABL has outsourced the distribution for its beer to DHL.

For Express Kenya, it is like Scangroup losing Airtel advertising deal in Africa.

If you can, dump the share to bail out before it is too late.

Go overdrive in purchasing the goods when there's blood on the streets, expecially if the blood is your own

Is it just me or is that profit warnings are the in thing nowadays. Some of these Co.s need de-listing including Safcom. Those Leyland city hoppers frm Express zisha-beat!

@Milken

Thanks for the information. That is why I love sharing the little from the bourse vineyard and although much might be from nowhere, the smart guys are able to pick serious information from mass data available around us.

@Cde Monomotapa

With matatu saccos for everybody, city hopper, KBS and city shuttle will have a hard time as their nitche market will be encroached on by the Sacco busses. Express Kenya is being threatened from all sides. What is the average age of the Board of Directors of this company?

By the way guys, am not a young man. So, don't tell me I will also grow old. I believe in letting my sons and daughters run the show once they hits 21 and take full charge by the time each hits 30 so that I can guide them when I am alive.

In other words, I don't hate old people, I simply hate their desire to stick to managing affairs even when their brain power is on the wane.

I always ask my dad why many fathers took their children to University but never allow them make learned decisions to improve the family status blah blah blah. He never fails to remind me that it was just the other day he was cleaning my rearend cauze I could not do it on my own.

I noticed the companies share price almost never changes.Is it that the company's management is no good or is the transport business not all that profitable?Because some day in the future I hope to go into the transport business

Profits will be more than 75% lower compared to 2013 i.e. a loss.
But not to worry, don't sell your shares yet, its moving into real estate.

The Board of Directors of Express Kenya Limited would like to notify its shareholders and the general public that the Company has been going through a period of business instability due to the loss of key contracts and as a result the earnings for the year ended 31 December 2014 will be more than 75% lower compared to the earnings for the previous year. The Board is in the process of diversification into the real estate sector.... Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly

I remember the first time I saw their results, I thought the figures were in dollars but nowadays nothing at the NSE surprises me.

I find it awkward and in bad taste. It's like hitting someone and warn them later that you'll hit them.

They now want new entrants into their ponzi scheme. Reading that Kenyans are into real estate, they have 'sweetened' their dealings with " a housing" project. They are warning you metaphorically, as the house always wins. Put a wager at your own risk.Shame on you Shame on you Shame on you
