These are the kinds of companies we need at the NSE, not funny lifeforms frequenting GEMS. But do they really need the hustle of being a listed company?

Mabati Rolling Mills generated 16bn revenue in a 7.4% top line growth.
Operating margin improved by 1.02bn or 152% due to Other Income plus a tight lid on selling and distribution expenses

As you say, the hassle [not hustle] is too much of a bother. Who wants to answer to 'speculative' shareholders about long-term plans or expose plans to competitors?

More hassles, more bothers. Not exactly GEMS but, a fine example of an unlisted gem...

CBA is now ranked Kenya's second biggest bank with 5.2 million deposit accounts thanks to M-Shawari.

Commerical Bank of Africa
Net Interest Income +20%
Fees and commissions +300%
Loan Book +33% now at 68.6bn
Deposits +14% to 104.7bn

Profit after tax up 19% to 3.7bn
