Get a spirit level and confirm the surface on which your dish is placed is totally flat.

just wondering 8w shows its covering coast thru their website but satstar shows its out of coverage for us.

There's 8 West A and 8 West C. Which one?

8w. A

Aha. In that case, I'd rather go with Eutelsat's own maps:

http://www.eutelsat.com/...-downlink-coverage.html

killing my hopes.
any other tp on nilesat which is easier to nab apart from 11296.

Usife moyo kwa haraka hivyo, still worth a try. Those maps are just a guideline, they aren't accurate. You could try the Dubai One tp or the one hosting BBC.

by they way could there b a sat that's out of range but easier to nab? I feel nilesat needs to be way above my house as even if I get it, it will b unstable as I HV done all possibilities.

You can use satstar to check out the beams receivable in your location (set your location first). Perhaps you could make an attempt at Yahsat 1A East beam.

Talk to this guy, Aizen, who's getting Nilesat on a 180cm pf:

You should assemble and attach all parts of the prime focus dish before use. Remember the parabola is the reflective surface that gathers the waves.

Hehe...H-H motor is a good option where the dish is mounted in an inaccessible location.

Since Nilesat is fringe reception, the equipment must be perfect for one to get the signal.
