Unfortunately, the only free channels there will be cctv if my memory serves me right. More grease to your elbow pal. but badr & nilesat is a headache... do you think the small sat finders will help considering my location. I have tried looking for them but in vain. are they available in Nairobi ?. il be on leave from next week and nothing much to do apart from the dish I gave up on the Badr 4/5/6 constellation after about three days of trying. A re-look at the beams on both satbeams.com and satstar.net shows that the beam passes by those sides of Eldoret and Kerio Valley. Nilesat ain't much of a headache for me, 180cm pf brings it in beautifully. Not very sure about the small satfinders, I use a SatLink WS-6918P acquired in 2012. I've often seen them mentioned on jamiiforums though haven't paid attention. am I getting nearer to it?... today I managed ses7 at 20e. I've now realised that nilesat is not almost vertical as earlier adviced..ses7 looks more vertical . am now focusing between ses5 and ses7 hoping it will be hiding somewhere. arnd there..

SES 7 is in the eastern direction while Nilesat is on the western direction. You'll find it 'below' SES 5. By the way, what channels did you find on SES-7? Life is like playing a violin solo in public and learning the instrument as one goes on.

If you live in your own compound/place, just get the 'Subhi' 1.8 offset, guys have already worked out the calculations for you on jamii. I would if I could. You're right, SES-4 is way beyond Nilesat.
