" Caution: Slippery Floor " WHY

I have noticed that most new buildings are using highly polished marble or porcelain floor tiles and then put the above notice at the entrance.

These are being used in Malls, banking halls, hotels airports,and even in hospitals. I saw these in the doctors plaza in Nairobi Hospital a few months ago and last week at the Aga Khan hospital in Mombasa. In fact an elderly lady with a walking stick slipped and fell down.

Why don't these establishments use anti slip rustic tiles as is common all over the world.

Or are these cheaper and easier to maintain. Sad

Interesting if I ever slip il sue the company and trust me I will definitely win hands down.

Good point. However, they will argue that they put the signs out. Difficult to sue a major establishment with their resources / lawyers.
