Naushad Merali as the 2nd largest shareholder (40%) had a pre-emptive right that gave him the first opportunity to buy Vivendi’s stake before it was offered to a 3rd party. African parents don't know how to say sorry.. the closest you will get to a sorry is a 'have you eaten'

So Airtel at 15.5 B even say 20 B and Safaricom is over 600B..something's not right..maybe he sold the 5% cheap..?? So he didn't pay CGT

Compare apples to apples when comparing valuations. I do find Safaricom overpriced but perhaps it is very cheap vs Airtel. Greedy when others are fearful.
