is this funny or sad, somebody rents your land he later dies then his child claims a piece of the same land as inheritance. Our courts in their wisdom support the kid and order you do the necessary. What follows is contempt of court and you and your family go in with no option of fine six months and three for the granny! http://www.standardmedia...-for-contempt-of-court/
This is what stuff movies are made from!

The other day a woman with a toddler who could not raise a bond of 5000 opted to plead guilty after spending six months in jail! Her crime- selling chang'aa!

If I remember well there was a section in our new constitution that said petty offenders should not be remanded but be reporting to the nearest police station. Anyone?

The civil case before the contempt case came up is the one that sounds most unfair It sounds like a case of that Wawira lady claiming adverse possession in a case where her father was a tenant at the granny's farm. How does one claim adverse possession when you were a tenant??

It is only a chicken whose head when cut-off still remains alive and run around aimlessly, meaning that a chicken has no brains because one is medically dead when they are brain dead. The magistrate that handled this case is a chicken Dumb money becomes dumb only when it listens to smart money

I hear rumors that governor Wambora has paid the old lady's fine. Life is like playing a violin solo in public and learning the instrument as one goes on.

This is a really sad day for the judiciary. The system is there to serve Kenyans and not the other way around.Jailing a 100yr old Kenyan for an offence, Contempt, which a judge/magistrate has discretion is a big shame to the judiciary. I Think Therefore I Am
