BTW, some of those old reads we did in school or had in libraries are very refreshing if you read much later. Rereading Achebe's works now

I think late last year or early this year we lost Lady Asenath Odaga and now Honourable Grace Ogot God rest their souls in eternal peace. The Kenyan literary world has depopulating rather fast lately

May she rest in peace.

That son of hers is one of the most hilarious people in the world. He has a very sad and tragic story but he tells it so eloquently and so vividly that you feel like you are watching a movie..... Now that I think about it that guy should just make that life story of his into a movie....

The troubles that a child can drag parents through... wacha tu. Grace Ogot was a strong woman, she did everything until she gave up... she just told the man that he should do what he wants but when he is ready to quit drinking he should call her...... it took a long time but eventually he made the call.
