Just from perusing the trading results and balance sheet and following are highlights;
-23% growth in gross premiums
-Associate (Takaful insurance)is now in the profit zone with CIC booking a profit of sh.7.682mn based on the stake it owns.
-There was a ksh.6bn investment in the course of the year
-Company is sitting on a big cash pile with deposits with financial institutions at ksh.8.5bn.Cash and bank balances at ksh.559mn
-An increase in the amount of money invested in equities
Wealth is built through a relatively simple equation
Wealth=Income + Investments - Lifestyle

when they rectify on medical....we shall have good half year. Such a drop is advantageous as a jump is imminent nxt fy.

Very poor results...past financial results have been restated...I hope the new MD cleans up this company! Current business model not sustainable...underwriting margins have been on the decline since listing.

Many companies have reported reduced profitability, including the all powerful Panafrican. CIC did't do so well but it avoided a loss. If it is about some corruption I think there will be a remedy to seal the loophole once the consultant finishes her work. I cannot sell this one for now
