Just helping you to avoid making another mistake I am no chartist. have a fair value of 18.00 but the way things are happening in this market it should at least touch 20.00 before may Elaborate. How do you arrive at number 18.00 and 20.00. Through fundamental analysis? 1. after reporting a profit warning it dipped to 15.50 which might be its base. since it has been hovering around this level then its at its bottom. 2. the lull in the share price may be a sign of a looming break away that I anticipate before books close. as I said , nothing technical.... but only time will tell. ,

Sorry Boris , the gist of what i said is that because i dont have a lot of disposable income i was unable to buy large lots . I had the ideas right got in at good times, some of my weighted averages are ridiculously low example Safaricom where i entered at 4 shillings and 20 cents average but im holding a meagre 12000 units wheras someone i advised is holding 100,000 plus units bought at a similar price , my fault lean pockets

Bought 15,000 @14.00 rights issue price. This thing has been dropping as we all know. For the last two weeks I've added another 22,000 @6.90 avg. I just checked my CFC portfolio valuation and it shows my average is now 10.70(not sure how accurate that is) and my loss so far is -37%. I'll hold on to this until it touches at least 25.00. It has caused enough pain, mpaka nishapoa, so don't mind holding for another year or two. @Obiero, this got to be your worst, ama? Knowledge is contagious...Infect truth!

Pole sana bro...pia nami i am caught in this storm with no lifesaver in sight...but according to the figures you have given your average comes to 17.46/= and that's not even including broker commission i.e. 821,000/= / 47000 = 17.46. Include broker commissions and your average buy price is over 18/=. correct me if i am wrong..

KQ isnt my worst loss, since I first bought post rights and have been steady averaging down to about 8.9 per share HF 90,000 ABP 3.83; KQ 414,100 ABP 7.92; MTN 23,800 ABP 6.45

KQ isnt my worst loss, since I first bought post rights and have been steady averaging down to about 8.9 per share My worst mistake was buying into any stock that is majority owned by the government...namely Mumias at 5.5 and exited at 4.5 after Njung'es comments which opened my eyes. I currently hold Kenya Re and KPLC and will sell them as soon as I break even. In the future, I will avoid the stocks such as Kenya Re, KPLC, Mumias, Uchumi, Kenya Airways and anything else majority owned by Uncle Sam. He is the worst business partner you can ever have.
