Thank you @holycow , what I meant is that the company is too linked to the Kenyan stock market, a drop in it triggers a severe drop in its price, so too risky. However, for those that can partake it,buy the stock from NSE, you will be rich someday

Hi Wazuans,

I would like to invest in stocks and I was wanted to get suggestions of a good brokerage firm I can work with. One who is approachable, can give some bit of personalised service like advice on when to sell and what to buy as I learn the trade before I can be able to be making those decisions myself.

I also wouldn't mind suggestions on the counters that I can begin with. I plan to put in 40k to start then every month possibly be throwing in 5k

Cheers brothers and sisters

Try Genghis Capital thank me later.

@ maru 101, advice from Boris Boyka is timely.

@gatheuzi your point exactly?

He’s saying that risk is an ever present reality (all type of risk); can’t run away from it but you learn to mitigate risks and the higher the risk, the higher the return

@maru if you hadn't understood that poin,there is much for you to learn from this republic. Come slow. Take your time and go through as many threads as you can here. Urudi after 5-7 days you will be wiser.

Buy CFC or Kenya Re. Why? Because I own those shares and I would like buyers to come in, wipe out supply and push prices higher.

Do you research well. I would advice you to start will blue chip companies because most have an upward trend and low risk and make sure you invest money you can afford to lose.
