The Board of Directors of East African Breweries Limited (EABL) has approved the sale of the entire 100% issued share capital of Central Glass Industries Limited (CGIL) held by EABL to Consol Glass Proprietary Limited - a private company duly incorporated and registered in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa (Consol).

The sale is conditional, amongst other things, on EABL receiving regulatory approvals from the Competition Authority of Kenya and the approval of Shareholders of EABL at an extraordinary general meeting that will be called specifically for this purpose. In the meantime, shareholders of EABL and the public are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the EABL’s shares.
