@pastor m..
As much as this is something very bad most of the people being retrenched are doing outdated jobs and a company will always try and make itself as efficient as possible so instead of workers complaining they should ALWAYS TRY and keep their skills up to date inorder to be viewed as valuable to a company...

KCB is introducing MCR's Intelli ATMs which can handle various currencies,cash deposits and even cheque deposits.....That means tellers become irrelevant.

KCB is actually overstaffed.A walk down Aghakhan walk at any time on a Friday will reveal so many branded T-shirts just walking leisurely all day long doing personal errands or just chatting.
The service levels are always

this is a very defeatist move they did a similar retrenchment in 07 and the people who took it up ended up being competant ones...so kcb is retrenching in the year wen the WORLDS economy is recovering..how smart! why didnt they retrench last year? looks like whoever does the planning in this place is asleep

@kyt Being Employed is a tricky affair. at times you never know the next move. in the evening u may leave jobo fine but when u report in the morning u find the doors locked and a notice on the door. To avoid/mitigate such shock, position yourself strategically.

There was an article in the DN yesterday, saying the MD Martin Oduor denied there were plans to retrench! @Kyt. Do you have this on some authority?
