Yes...iko na jembe. Trailer apana.

@Alph, a good perspective there but this one is meant to be out there all the time. Ikilala ni waste.

Let me elaborate. When you leave your team (driver and turnboy) alone to plough a shamba, it can go to 1, 2, 3... or up to 10 acres in a day. Right? Now, you make how much? Say 2Kx10 = 20k (and 10acres/day is being very, very ambitious). Now let's do the expenses: fuel 1K x 10 total 10K, grease, lunch, dinner and misc total 2k/day. Total expense is about 12k. Throw in breakdown, expense can go up to 5k in a day if something broke, or 1k if it were just a puncture. Total running expense so far is 17k. What about rent for house where your team lives? What remains for you? A mere 3K and you have not counted wear and tear! That 3K will be consumed by your motel where you spend the night since you will be doing kibaruas away from home!

My friend, if you're not the one standing there and watching your tractor plough, then forget it. Those "crooks" will siphon your fuel, will wake up late at 8am and find all the wombs (read jobs) have gone to early birds (read risers). Your team will wait there sitting on top of the tractor in the sun, and since later you will ask what did they do that today, then must find an excuse. They phone you and say there was a puncture, so you have to send them 1k from your pocket. Is that not a loss before you start?

Ask around and see if there is anyone who has done kibaruas and become rich. Actually, they became worse.

And here I was thinking it was a real farming thread.
